    the hotel is very convenient for first timer to Shanghai that want to get all the tourist attractions as the location is easy access to the bund view, ferry, and bus. The train station is not too far away and Didi can park right in front of the hotel. We recommend hotel with easy access to Didi because you will use it a lot traveling in Shanghai as it is the easiest and transportation in China is pretty cheap. The hotel room size is very generous and clean. The amenities are very nice, true to Hyatt brand. The english translation on device is quite weird but so is the rest of Chinese apps, so it can be challenging and fun at the same time. One huge drawback for this hotel is its floor plan . Rooms are in a maze-like pathway to walk to. If you don't stay on the 2nd floor, you have to transfer to another elevator when you reach 2nd floor to reach your floor.

    Lure bookings with competitive pricings; but would pile guests with many payable items that would otherwise be complimentary in other hotels. During booking on Agoda site, I specified 2 pax per room. Then I selected 'room with breakfast' option. When we headed to restaurant for breakfast, we were told that the additional payment breakfast FOR ONE PERSON only. Additional breakfast costs RMB200 (an absolute rip-off). Faced with such a predicament, guests would naturally be forced to pay the exorbitant amount, amounting to around 15pct of the room rate. Breakfast spread was mediocre and forgettable. There is no way to contact hotel staff directly from the room - there is no in-room phone. You have to navigate through a touch-screen device to request for service and items They provide 2 bottles of water upon checking-in. No additional water will be provided thereafter. I booked 3 rooms for my family of 5. One of the rooms had musty odour. Many of the rooms do not come with 'real windows' - they are just openings to building interior. Ventilation is poor Never again. What a letdown to the 'Hyatt' branding.
