Water at the back door. A three-bedroom waterfront home on Patterson Lakes — Melbourne's canal suburb, where the waterways run all the way out to Port Phillip Bay.
Three levels, three separate bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms for four or five guests, so nobody shares a bathroom and nobody sleeps on a couch. Full kitchen, dining table, and a balcony over the water for the end of the day.
Free parking on site. Air con, heating, wifi, washer and dryer. The beach and the boat ramps are minutes away.
Sleeping — Three separate bedrooms across the home: a queen in the master, a double in the second and a single in the third. Four to five guests, three closed doors, no sofa beds. Wardrobes, hangers, fresh linen made up before you arrive, extra pillows and blankets in the cupboard.
Bathrooms — Two full bathrooms plus a powder room — unusually generous for a home this size, and the reason mornings here don't involve queuing. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap provided, hair dryer, towels, endless hot water.
Kitchen — Set up for actually cooking: oven, stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. Pots, pans, cooking basics, dishes, cutlery and wine glasses. Dining table for the whole group.
Outside — A balcony over the water with outdoor furniture, and a BBQ. Where you'll end up every evening.
