Giù in Calabria B&B - Terrazze Italiane Catanzaro Lido

Grazioso bilocale completamente ristrutturato, arredamento moderno, spazi ben sfruttati, ottima pulizia, finestre con vetri oscurati che garantiscono la privacy nonostante sia sulla strada, bagno finestrato. A pochi minuti a piedi da mare, supermercati, negozi, ristoranti. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliato a singoli o coppie che vogliano sentirsi come a casa.

Wifi introvabile nonostante fosse indicato. Non un problema per me che uso sempre un cellulare come hotspot, ma ad altri potrebbe servire.

Abbiamo soggiornato per due notti in questo appartamento in occasione di una cerimonia a Catanzaro Lido. Pro: l’appartamento è vicino alla stazione dei treni e comodo quindi per raggiungere l’aeroporto di Lamezia con il servizio Airlink di Trenitalia. Il lungomare e la spiaggia si raggiungono in pochi minuti di camminata. La zona in cui è situato è tranquilla e con parecchi parcheggi auto disponibili proprio davanti all’ingresso. Appartamento non troppo grande ma funzionale e pulito. Letto comodo per dormire. Abbiamo inoltre apprezzato la presenza della moka per fare il caffè ed il ferro da stiro necessario in caso di cerimonie per un’ultima sistemata ai vestiti.

Contro: un po' di confusione nell’organizzazione della prenotazione. In fase di prenotazione sul sito di booking era indicata la navetta aeroportuale gratuita, mentre in realtà il servizio è a pagamento. Abbiamo dovuto sollecitare all’arrivo in aeroporto a Lamezia il codice per recuperare le chiavi nella cassetta per entrare nell’appartamento in quanto non ci era stato inviato e non sapevamo quindi in quale modo avremmo potuto entrare nell’alloggio. Non c’era connessione wi fi nonostante ci fosse stata fornita la password nella stessa mail con cui ci è stato fornito il codice di apertura della cassetta dove c’erano le chiavi. In conclusione basterebbe un po' più di attenzione verso i propri ospiti per essere un appartamento da voto 10. Nel complesso comunque la nostra esperienza è stata positiva.

The location and the lady who was the owner of the property. It was a very different experience from the agent who managed the property. The owner (elderly Lady) made every effort to make up for shortcomings of the agent and made us as comfortable as possible given the situation, see for issues below.

The property had recently been renovated, whereby issues should have resolved by the agent before letting, these include, the sewerage smell in the bathroom, shower would run out of hot within 10 minutes one of us had to have cold shower, no instructions for the appartment (standard practice at other booking.com premises), no WiFi, it requires a repeater / extender from the owner's WiFi and the washing machine did not have instructions on how to set it for a simple spin dry cycle so as to be able spin clothes and the hang to dry. Further the property agent was overwhelmed with customer enquiries and was not able to respond to our requests. It is not fair for paying customers who are travelling to be left on their own in a unknown environment. It is management responsibility to provide prompt and quality customer service to all. Advertising parking when there is no parking, it is street parking, and there were available slots and at times we had to park a long way away. We provided some of this feedback to the agent, so that others do not have the same problems. When travelling to new places it is stressful enough without finding these problems on arrival due to false advertising. Note the owner went out of her way to assist wherever she could e.g. buying an iron and ironing board. We have stayed at many places not only in Italy, however was one of our most disappointing experiences. We hope the above are remediated and future customers have a better experience.
