Anekset

This was my second visit to Christin’s annex, and it definitely won’t be the last. The location is perfect, on a gorgeous old road with the harbour at the end. Christin is such a kind and welcoming host, and made me breakfast for the second time !! The annex is small, no smaller than a standard hotel room, but perfect for a short stay, and significantly cheaper than all of the hotels in the area !!

The room was quite warm in the hot summer, but there was a fan provided so that was all okay.

This was possibly the best rental I have ever stayed at, and I’ve travelled all over Europe for the past year! Christin is possibly one of the most down to earth and hilarious people I have ever met. On my last day, she invited me down to the patio to have breakfast and try her freshly baked sourdough, which was truly delicious. We talked, she told me a bit about the town, and I told her about my Norwegian family, and it was lovely. She then brought out a huge array of cheeses and condiments to have with the bread. Her cat came over to welcome me whilst I sat and ate, which was so nice. Christin then offered to drive me to the airport, which was unexpected but such a wonderful gesture. The whole 15 minute drive we laughed and had such genuine conversations. She truly made me feel at home. Because I am 17, staying alone in a home stay like hers is always a bit nerve racking, but she instantly made me feel comfortable. Christin was so welcoming that I just had to rebook and I’m now visiting again in a month!! The annex itself is so cute! It is accessed via a staircase down the side of their house, and at the top of the stairs is a lovely table and chairs set. The room is small, but no smaller than your standard hotel room. It had everything you need for a short stay, a kettle, tea and coffee, a huge TV, a mini fridge, a large bathroom, it was perfect. The location was spectacular. It was in an older area of the town, with gorgeous homes, and the harbour at the end of the street. Since the annex is set back from the street, it was silent, all you could hear was the ambience of the birds. I think even if it was right on the road, it wouldn’t be an issue because the street itself is very quiet. I can’t wait to stay here again ❤️

An excellent, slightly quirky but well- designed, detached unit .Clean,comfy with excellent WiFi and a powerful shower located 150 metres from the town centre ( but with several steps leading to the room - a possible issue for anyone with serious mobility restrictions ). Tea and coffee provided and a real plus were splendid bedside reading lights - a feature sadly missing in many properties ).Christin was a splendid friendly and informed host .Very close to a fascinating whaling museum .
