Although this place is located right in the heart of Seoul, it is not in a typical tourist area — and that was exactly what made it special. The neighborhood was quiet and residential, and instead of staying in another crowded tourist area, we felt like we were experiencing the everyday life of real Seoul locals. Just a few minutes from the house, there was a light hiking trail. We spent about three hours walking there and even enjoyed the barefoot red-clay path, which was a unique and refreshing experience. On the way back, we stopped by Yeongcheon Market, a traditional local market, and had makgeolli and Korean pancakes. It felt authentic, relaxed, and memorable. Another thing we loved was the neighborhood itself. Right in front of the accommodation, there was a small bakery run by a couple who have been there for about 30 years, and everything we tried was delicious. There were also affordable and generous Korean home-style restaurants nearby, popular with university students. Those simple local meals made us feel so comfortable that we almost did not want to leave. We visited Seoul as a group of six colleagues, and since we come to Seoul quite often, we did not want to stay in the same predictable tourist spots or standard hotels again. This home turned out to be a great choice. With four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, and a fully equipped kitchen, it was very comfortable for six people. There was enough space for everyone to relax, and it was also great to spend time together in the living room or on the private rooftop in the evening. One thing to note is that the home is on the 4th floor without an elevator, so it may not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues. For us, it was not a problem at all. The private rooftop, which only we could use, was a wonderful bonus especially at night, with the Seoul city view.

For friends, colleagues, long-stay travelers, or anyone who wants more than just a tourist version of Seoul, this is a fantastic place to stay. It offers space, privacy, comfort, quiet surroundings, and a truly local Seoul experience. I would happily stay here again

Le logement est situé dans un quartier résidentiel en hauteur, calme et agréable, tout en restant très proche du centre-ville, ce qui a rendu mon séjour à Séoul particulièrement facile et agréable. L’ambassade de France est accessible à pied, ce qui est un vrai atout. J’ai aussi beaucoup apprécié la colline derrière le logement, parfaite pour une promenade ou un exercice matinal. Le quartier a beaucoup de charme, avec de petites boulangeries et des restaurants coréens à la fois abordables, généreux et authentiques — de véritables trésors de voisinage. Le logement lui-même est plus spacieux qu’une chambre d’hôtel, et il est très bien équipé avec une salle de bain privative, une machine à laver et une cuisine fonctionnelle. Tout cela donne une vraie sensation de confort, comme si l’on vivait chez soi à Séoul. L’hôte a été extrêmement aimable, réactif et toujours prêt à aider, ce qui a rendu le séjour encore plus agréable. Si je reviens à Séoul, j’aimerais vraiment séjourner ici plus longtemps et vivre la ville comme un habitant.

The host sent very detailed directions before arrival, so even though it was my first visit, it was very easy to find the place. Although it is conveniently located near Seoul Station, it is also situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, which made it especially memorable because I was able to experience the real daily life and atmosphere of Seoul. In the morning, I walked along a forest trail near the accommodation, where flowers were in full bloom, and after only a short climb, I was rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view of the city. There were also lovely local bakeries and warm, welcoming restaurants nearby, which allowed me to fully enjoy the charm of the neighborhood during my trip. The accommodation itself was very clean, much more spacious than a typical city hotel, and well equipped with everything I needed, including kitchenware and a washing machine, making it feel almost like having my own home in Seoul. I was completely satisfied with the location, atmosphere, convenience, and value for money, and I would definitely stay here again if I return to Seoul..
