Nestled at 3,200 feet in elevation, our cabin offers stunning panoramic views and a serene atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a peaceful getaway or an adventure-filled retreat, our cabin is the perfect home base. Come experience the beauty and tranquility of the mountains!
Cozy well-appointed cabin sleeps 8-10 with 2 bedrooms and a open loft bedroom/den to comfortably accommodate families or groups with 2 full baths + a half bath with plenty of space to get ready.
A spacious living area to relax by the fireplace and enjoy quality time after a day out visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or many of the other outdoor activities available in the Whittier, NC area.
The Bear Den / Game Room is loaded with fun for all ages with entertainment options galore including a smart TV, board games, foosball table, dart board, arcade and a bar.
Enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the ever-changing panoramic vistas as clouds drift and the morning fog lifts.
The large porch has lots of seating, a grill and a dining table, perfect for the whole family to enjoy a meal while taking in the fresh mountain air.
Unwind under the stars in the hot tub or have an outdoor family movie night gathered around the fire pit and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like gooey s'mores, making memories with every bite.
Bonus - our retreat is located just 50 minute drive to the Sapphirre Valley Ski Resort in Cashiers and the Cataloochee Ski area in Maggie Valley. Also under a 2 hour drive to the Hatley Pointe Ski Resort in Mars Hill.
NOTE: Sama Mountain retreat is located at 3200ft in elevation. We highly recommend you have an all terrain or 4x4 vehicle for ease of access.

Great place for us to stay on some outdoor adventures for our family. Had plenty of room for several kids and kitchen was very well stocked. Great communication with property manager on any needs we had and plenty of upfront details in the check in process and binder in the house. Definitely a steep drive up at times with the rain but our van made it easy enough. Again, had plenty of kitchen items and towels for showers and hot tub. Game room was a great addition for us to get some more space to relax and enjoy the trip. Would recommend with any family but just general caution for edges with littles and anyone with being on the side of the mountain. You are a little bit away from things so plan for 20-35 minutes for some dinner and grocery options but, that’s what we wanted. More wildlife and enjoyed being on the NC side of the National Park instead of near Gatlinburg and sevierville craziness.

Amazing views!!! Clean and fully stocked for what you need especially in the kitchen. Had a wonderful time. Hot tub was great and the game room was awesome. Highly recommend a stay. Side note… the road entrance to the house is a well maintained gravel/dirt road with an incline. We made it up with a truck (non-4wheel) and a ford Edge during spring. Thank you to the host!!!

Very nice cabin with an amazing view. Carol was extremely accommodating and communication was excellent. For anyone who is new to the mountains, the last part of the drive up may be somewhat intimidating, would definitely recommend arriving in daylight. The house was well stocked and clean. Would highly recommend this cabin for a couple or a family with kids, lots of things to do!
