Beautiful 4 Bedroom Tybee Home, Private Pool, Awesome Location!!

Our home is centrally located on Tybee Island, easily within walking distance to our beaches, shopping and amazing island restaurants!

We have a large family room, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, laundry on site, 2 screened porches, and fabulous private pool where guests are welcome to swim at your leisure or have everyone in for fun and games. Bring your whole family to our great beach house with lots of room to ensure all have a wonderful time at Tybee Island soon!!


OUR HOME

Rest A Shore is centrally located to all Tybee has to offer its visitors. Situated on the south end of Tybee, puts you within easy walking distance, just a quick 5-10 minute walk to both Back River and the Atlantic Ocean. The south end is where the majority of Tybee’s best restaurants/bars and main shopping areas are located, with plenty of lively nightlife only minutes away!

We built our Tybee home in 2015 and it has been such a wonderful place to spend quality, fun times with our children, grandchildren, family and friends!

Whether you are looking to have some peaceful, relaxing time or prefer to stay active on your vacation, Rest a Shore is for sure the place you want to be!

Our home has a large family room, is comfortably furnished, with a large screen smart TV and screening capabilities with Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video. There is plenty of seating, including two queen sofas, one of which is a queen sofa bed, for those unexpected, but very welcome guests!

The large master bedroom is conveniently located on this floor, king bed and master bath with jetted tub and separate walk in shower with removable teak seating, perfect for your comfort and safety. There are double vanities and mirrors in here as well. There is a large master walk in closet which has been known to have sleeping babies tucked away in the pack n play, close to you, yet removed from the noise of family and guests that may keep them awake! They never know they’re missing a thing! Perfect!

Upstairs are three additional guest rooms, two queens and two twins, full bath, shower/tub combination, with vanity and mirror.

Each of our bedrooms have the same streaming capabilities as downstairs and all have dressers, closets and ceiling fans.

Our fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, from plenty of pots and pans, casserole dishes, utensils, glasses, coffee cups, crock pot, blender, coffee pot, microwave, and of course, lovely serving dishes for your guests, and wine glasses. Everything you might need is already ready for you!

We have a dining table which seats eight, as well as a large island with additional seating for 2 to accommodate any overage.

We have two screened porches, one on the front with rockers and table and ceiling fan. The second porch is off the family room and overlooks our private pool. It has comfortable seating, with sofa if you are thinking of an afternoon snooze, rockers, tables and ceiling fans. There is an eating bar out here with additional seating for three.

Conveniently located on this floor is the laundry room and half bath. We also have extra linens, blankets and pillows on hand for your use if needed.

Down below in our fully fenced yard is our private pool. It is the absolute best after a busy time at the beach to come home to! Rinse off, jump in, cool off, chill out … or … get cleaned off, throw something delish on the grill and relax by the pool! Kids, of course, never, ever get tired of the pool, so on some days, just take it a little slower and relax at home! Either way, beach or pool day, you cannot go wrong! Your choice!

We have an outside shower to rinse off, loungers and tables, and table and chairs for lunch, an outdoor swing and bbq grill.

We also have provided plenty of beach things for your use! We have several beach bikes for you to use. Nothing to look at really, they are beach bikes! But they are great to have for just tootling around! Please feel free also to use our beach wagon to help with your trips to and from the beach. We have chairs and cooler for you, a great tent to catch some shade, and play things for the kiddos like buckets and shovels! We also have golf balls for all of your competitive beach golfers!

We have truly tried to make your vacation trip as easy as possible for you, since we know that getting away is never as easy as you think it’s going to be!

In terms of fun things to do, please feel to google Best Things to do at Tybee! To name a few, we have fishing and dolphin trips, kayak rentals, crabbing, boat rental close by, Tybee Lighthouse, Fort Pulaski, Tybee Science Museum, festivals throughout the year like the Annual Pirate Festival, the Beach Bum Parade, the Annual St. Patricks Parade (held the weekend before the March 17th Savannah Parade so not to conflict! Both are super fun!)

There are double driveways to our house, so there is ample parking.

We have the original 19th Century Fort Jackson on the island which is a National Historic Landmark and in the U.S, National Register of Historic Places. It was occupied during the American Civil War, protecting Savannah from Union forces.

There is a wonderful children’s playground and a great public library for visitors and children s storybook time offered as well.

There are golfcarts for rent, bicycles, kayak rental and tours, fishing, golf carts, dolphin tours, a Marine Science Center, a public pier for fishing, surfing lessons, boards, and fishing licenses are available to purchase. You can purchase crabbing lines and shrimp nets, crab traps, bait, everything you need to catch your own dinner!

Tybee is a very laid back island where you can do as much as you want, get as dressed up as much as you want, or not! There are no dress codes here and casual is completely accepted everywhere!
