About this house rental
Between Domburg and Westkapelle lies an idyllic farmhouse dating from 1870, tucked away at the foot of the dunes. On the grounds are four charming holiday cottages where time seems to stand still. One of these is “Beach House”: an authentic, partially renovated cottage where you can enjoy peace and quiet, nature and the salty sea air of the Zeeland coast.
The Space:
Between Domburg and Westkapelle, you will find Beach House, a small but unique holiday home (±40m²), ideal for 2 adults and 2 children. There is no luxury here, but there is charm: crooked walls, creaky floors, low doorways and many authentic details. Think old beams, cosy corners and an attractive interior with an eye for detail.
The cottage has a bright living room with a sofa, armchair and smart TV (including Netflix), a simple kitchen with a 4-burner gas stove, refrigerator and Nespresso machine, a separate toilet and 2 bedrooms upstairs: one with a double box-spring bed and one with two single beds (connected by a door). The spacious bathroom with shower is located in the sunny private garden, just a few steps from the front door.
The enclosed garden (approx. 60m²) is a lovely place to relax with a picnic table, parasol and lounge sofa. Perfect for children and dogs to play safely.
Please note: the stairs are narrow and steep and the front door is somewhat lower (170–180 cm). This is part of the charm of this monumental cottage and, as mentioned earlier, the bathroom can be accessed from the outside of the house. So you have to walk through the garden (a few steps).
Guest Access:
You have a private entrance. There is free parking at the front of the farmhouse.
Other Things to Note:
PLEASE NOTE: an old house comes with instructions! We would like to inform our guests that the stairs to the first floor are narrow and steep. Guests should be aware that the front door opening is low (approximately 170–180 cm). Smoking and e-smoking (vaping) are not permitted in the cottages, gardens, or on the grounds.
