Our home is adjacent to the Seattle City Light power lines and greenbelt. Often the outdoor soundscape is lovely birdsong. Rarely, but on occasion, we hear our neighbor's music playing. But most often it's quiet outdoors.
This is the downstairs space of our family home. Despite being downstairs, it is quiet.
We are located on the Southend- midway between SeaTac International Airport (seven miles to our south) and Downtown Seattle (eight miles to our north).
Our property is unique because it neighbors The Green Line. The Green Line is a restoration project running under the Seattle City Light power lines. The project is restoring native and sustainable habitat and improving the environment for wildlife, with special emphasis on repopulating pollinators. The greenbelt, which is adjacent to our property, is home to fox, red-legged frogs, red-tailed hawks, and bald eagles!
