About the property
Priory Lodge blends historic charm with thoughtful contemporary touches, creating a warm and inviting escape at the edge of a magnificent private estate. With heritage detailing, soft neutral tones and views across the surrounding parkland, it offers a sense of calm that's both grounding and restorative. Surrounded by countryside, tidal creeks and salt marshes, it offers tranquillity and easy access to nearby attractions, from the village charm of St Osyth and its beach to the vibrant seaside of Clacton-on-Sea and the cultural appeal of Colchester.
The space
Stepping through the traditional front door, you're welcomed into a light-filled entrance that sets the tone for the entire home.
The living space is designed for comfort and conversation. Large windows frame tranquil garden and woodland views, while plush seating, warm lighting and a modern fireplace create a calming atmosphere - perfect for quiet evenings or relaxed mornings with a book.
The kitchen and dining area offer everything needed for home cooking and unhurried meals. Classic cabinetry, stone worktops and quality appliances make the space practical without losing its charm. Whether preparing breakfast or enjoying a feast around the table, it's a space made for socialising.
Two king-size bedrooms are designed as serene retreats. Crisp linens, upholstered headboards and soft textures invite restful sleep, while large windows bring in gentle natural light.
One bedroom features an en-suite shower room, while the family bathroom features marble tiling, a walk-in rainfall shower and luxury fittings - a quiet, spa-like space to unwind at the end of the day.
Outdoors, the lodge is surrounded by greenery and open skies. A private terrace with a hot tub and seating offers the perfect spot for morning coffee or long summer evenings, while the estate's landscaped grounds and woodland walks are just beyond the door.
