Guest Access:

Guests have the garden-level apartment (ground floor), the shared patio, and the street parking in front of and behind the building on East McDonough Street, plus free street parking along Price St. The check-in guide in the Guest App has the details for getting in.

The building also houses other guests, so please keep noise down and treat the space and the neighbors with respect. Quiet hours are 8 PM to 8 AM. Pets and parties are not allowed. Events must be cleared and coordinated with the host in advance. Breaking the house rules can end the reservation without a refund.

The Neighborhood:

The apartment is in the heart of Savannah's Historic District, right beside Crawford Square. Forsyth Park is about a 15 minute walk, and the Starland District is a quick walk away. River Street and the heart of downtown are about a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute Uber. Ubers are easy to find, and a free shuttle runs anywhere in the Historic District from the head of Forsyth Park, about a 10 minute walk away.

Parking is metered street parking on East McDonough Street, in front of and behind the building, plus free street parking along Price St. Street parking is shared with residents, first come, first served, with no assigned spots. Pay with the ParkSavannah app: open the app, enter the code painted on the parking spot, and pay. Parking is free all day on Sundays and from 8 PM to 8 AM on other days. Watch for the posted street sweeping signs and move your car to the opposite side of the street when needed. A city parking pass is also available through the visitor center.

Other Things to Note:

House rules in short: 2 guests maximum. All ages welcome. No pets. Smoking is allowed outside only, in designated spots. No parties. Events must be cleared and coordinated with the host in advance. Check-in is 4 PM and check-out is 10 AM.

Exterior security cameras at the front and back doors point outward and are there only for security. Expect normal city sounds such as trash collection and traffic. Earplugs and sound machines are provided for light sleepers.

We spray for bugs every quarter, but you may still see palmetto bugs, wasps and other insects. Keeping windows and doors shut, eating only in the dining area and keeping trash in the trash can will help. Starter amounts of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap and laundry detergent are stocked.

Interaction with Guests:

We live close by and are available day and night through the app or by phone.

Check-in is self check-in. Your codes and instructions are sent through the app by 3 PM on your arrival day, and we ask that you wait until the 4 PM check-in time to enter. Before you arrive you will complete a short check-in form and an ID verification in the Guest App. The check-in guide has step by step instructions for getting in.
