Located on the edge of the vacation park is a small, quiet vacation apartment complex built on a hillside.
Our two “Eulen-Nestchen” (vacation apartments)
S.1 and L.2
You can book the vacation apartments individually (S.1 for up to 3–4 people and L.2 for up to 4–5 people) or both together (for up to 7 people). Since both apartments are located in the same building on a private hallway, they are right next to each other.
They were newly furnished in 2017 and 2018 with great attention to detail.
Children and dogs are welcome guests in both apartments.
Here, you can relax in peace and quiet, enjoying the fresh air and the mountain views/panoramic views of the spa town, as the balcony—facing away from the street and situated on a steep slope—offers a delightful view of the surrounding landscape.
- Parking is available right on the street or in the private lot directly behind the apartment complex.
- All hiking trails are just a short walk away.
- There is a bakery inside the building that also offers a small selection of groceries,
-grocery store in town
-The “HEISSER BROCKEN” thermal/brine baths with a sauna area are right across the street. It’s open 364 days a year; use of the facility is not included in the booking price!! You can purchase tickets on-site at a daily or hourly rate.

The small, cozy vacation town of Altenau is located in the heart of the popular northernmost mountain range, the Harz. Just 8 km away is the village of Torfhaus, which, at 800 m, is the highest point in the Western Harz.
