Los Vagones del Rio - Riverfront

My wife and I and friends spent April at the Los Vagones del Rio, Units 3 and 4. The bottom line up front, this property exceeded all our expectations. The Haciendas are located in a lush green tropical private gated compound surrounded by Sea Almond, Mango trees, banana and jackfruit plants and a stream flowing in the back. During the day we were serenaded by various tropical birds like the Bananquit, Pearly-eyed Thrasher, and the beautiful Venezuelan Troupial, visited by various friendly lizards by day and at night by the sounds of the famously loud tiny Coqui frog. Just 6 minutes to the best Rincon beaches, shops, and restaurants, 34 minutes to the Aguadilla airport. Our host Zayna was extremely friendly, polite and responsive to our littlest annoyance, on a Sunday, replying in a matter of minutes to have us supplied with a new tank of propane for the fire-pit. The cabins are converted shipping containers, air conditioned, and equipped with WiFi. Each has two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a full kitchen. The larger unit # 3 has a living room with a TV, Unit 4 has a TV in each bedroom. Both units have full size tin-roofed porches with celling fans, and very comfy furniture. When it rains the porches are the perfect place. There is a firepit, gas griddle, gas grill, a washer/dryer, 6 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and coolers. If you are visiting Rincon and want a very cool, private place to stay away from crowds, parking hassles and traffic Haciendas is a perfect retreat

Host and her assistant were extremely responsive, the location and atmosphere were incredible for my family and I to feel welcome, we had plenty of space, and many options to relax. It felt like our own safe oasis, yet less than 10 minutes from town, shopping and beaches
