Nestled between the sea and the salt marshes, this vacation rental is situated in a unique and pleasant setting just a short walk from the beautiful, unspoiled beaches of the Mediterranean, in the heart of the Narbonnaise Regional Nature Park. During your stay, you’ll be able to observe the local flora and fauna up close and fully enjoy a variety of contrasting landscapes typical of the Mediterranean coastline (historic salt marshes, beaches, and a rocky limestone island), all of which boast exceptional biodiversity. There are beautiful walks to take around the cottage where you can enjoy this daily spectacle (Île Sainte-Lucie and the large, wild beach of La Vieille-Nouvelle are near the cottage). There are many hidden gems to discover nearby: the Sigean African Wildlife Reserve, the Leucate Cliffs, and Roman-era Narbonne with its remarkable heritage and culinary highlights (the market halls, the large buffets). The Cathar castles are also within easy reach. Spain is less than an hour away. Port-la-Nouvelle has plenty of shops: supermarkets, grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants, and the market… Everything you need for a peaceful vacation is right here. The cottage is situated in a quiet, peaceful setting on a property that also includes the owners’ home and another cottage. Each home offers complete privacy, allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. The house features a private terrace with patio furniture and a barbecue. Private, secure parking is available on the property. The adjoining vacation rental has two levels, a first floor and an upper floor: On the first floor, there is: - A fully equipped kitchen. - A bathroom (shower, sink, toilet) and laundry area. - A living room with sofas and a TV, featuring a large dining table. Upstairs: - A relaxation area with armchairs opening onto the staircase. - Two bedrooms, each with a 180x200cm bed that can also be separated (2x 90x200cm), each with its own private, adjoining bathroom (shower, sink, toilet). - A third bedroom with a 160x200 cm bed (2x80) and its own private, adjoining bathroom (shower, sink, and toilet).
