Korimako - Luxe Alpine Retreat

No doubt this was one of the nicest places we stayed at in NZ. The views were stunning, the rooms were comfortable, and the facilities had everything we needed. It was also the most expensive accommodation of our trip. We had a great night's sleep, enjoyed quality family time, and created wonderful memories together.

That said, there are a few things future guests should be aware of. It would be helpful if the listing were more transparent about the number of staircases throughout the property. There are stairs from the car park to the entrance, stairs leading to the living area, and stairs to most of the bedrooms. This may not be an issue for everyone, but it is something worth noting for families travelling with elderly members or guests with mobility concerns. The staircases also quite narrow for luggages. Another downside was the lighting in the snooker room. I provided this feedback directly to the host, as it was simply too dim, especially at night, making it difficult to fully enjoy the space. Lastly, the property did not allow any late check-out, not even an additional 30 minutes, which was a little disappointing given the premium price point.

Amazing stay at the property. We had a truly relaxing and comfortable experience from start to finish. The place was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up, which made our stay effortless and enjoyable. It was the perfect spot to unwind, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.
