13 km to the south from Nurmes, lake Pielinen 30 m (871,2 km², length 100 km, width 20 km), child-friendly dredged and sanded beach, pier, own boat, deeper point in the end of the pier. NOTE: From the end of summer/autumn of 2025, the water level in Lake Pielinen will be exceptionally low, and therefore not suitable for boating or other recreational use. Log building 1999, living room with sofa, kitchenette, sleeping alcove with a double bed separated by a curtain, loft with 2 beds and 120 cm wide bed, washroom.
