Faty’s place is in a very central location in Santa Cruz, with a direct view of Priest Gabriel Olavo Garcês Square. It’s also very close to the airport, which is super convenient. The apartment is inside a building and used to be a shop in a plaza, now converted into a small studio. It’s quite compact but has everything you need for a short stay. The private parking in the -1 garage is a big plus, especially since there aren’t many free parking spots nearby. Our host Susana was very communicative and everything went smoothly.

The space is quite small, so it may feel a bit tight, especially if you have a lot of luggage. Since it used to be a shop, the front wall is essentially a large window facing the plaza, so there aren’t typical windows you can open. Because of this and the central location, it can be a bit noisy at night. These weren’t an issue for me personally, but they’re worth keeping in mind depending on your preferences.

The little apartment exceeded my expectations! I was a bit worried at first because it only had a couple of reviews but I'm glad I booked it anyway. Everything was perfect. Great detailed instructions via what's up how to check in and where to park ( you have your own private space in the underground parking. Apartment is basically brand new. Kitchen equipped with induction hob, microwave, kettle and all your basic basic stuff. Smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, etc. Right in the center of Santa Cruz, close to local restaurants, bakerys and shops. 5min drive to the airport, 15min to Funchal. When I come back to Madeira I'll definitely book this place again!
