It was a beautiful apartment. Really gorgeous design and furnishings. The bath was exceptional - long enough to lie in and SUPER deep. The kitchen had all the facilities you could need. I stayed in the main bedroom and that bed was wonderful comfortable. Ample space in the wardrobe and cupboards if you were staying for a week.
I was also really touched by the little additions that were there, like hot chocolate in the cupboard that I’d asked for. There were so many convenient little additions as well like a good quality hair dryer, a face cloth and bath soak. They just made the experience feel more elite.
The chair with the foot stool was my favourite place to snuggle up and read. I moved one of the lamps for better lighting, but I was there for hours and it was just perfect.
The location is really central, it takes 10 minutes (if that) to walk into the town centre. But it is on a nice quiet road, so I slept soundly, especially with the blackout curtains.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about it. It got quite cold at one point and I didn’t know where the thermostat was or how to use it. But a quick message to the host and a prompt reply later and I was warm and toasty.
It would have been nice if the fireplace worked, or there were instructions on how to start it. But that didn’t ruin the experience.
I was there by myself so had the throw blanket all to myself, but if there were more people staying, a basket of blankets would likely be well received, particularly for winter visits.
