Authenticity la beauty

Beautiful, historic building with a good location near the edge of the medina so easy to get to if arriving by taxi. It was about 2/3 minute walk via Rue du Chateau. The room was large and spacious (lalla qmar room) and the bed was comfortable. There was a fridge, hair dryer and TV in the room. Shampoo and shower gel provided. There was a mini bar. Breakfast included a boiled egg, warm bread and mini croissants with jam, honey and butter. A salad, cheese and a vegetable stew also included. Didn’t use it but there is a spa on sight - recommend booking in advance if you want a massage.

There are a lot of stairs (and no lift) so not suitable for people with mobility issues. There was no complementary water in our room on arrival. The bed sheets were too small for the bed and you could see the mattress (which did not have a mattress protector on it). The key to the room was really fiddly and difficult to lock (it was an antique lock and We couldn’t lock it from the inside). The rooms are a bit dark. We were originally given the option to stay in the Kheireddin Pacha room but it was very dark and some of the lights didn’t work. It felt a bit musty. The breakfast room could be set up better - we weren’t given any plates, teaspoons etc or offered tea/coffee on arrival (although it was provided on request later). some of the tables were not set for breakfast or clean. If these things are addressed, this place has potential and it’s a fantastic property to be able to stay in more generally.

El personal de 10, muy amable y servicial. Hubo una boda en el patio y estuvimos encantados de ser invitados y poder vivir una experiencia con tanta cultura y tradición. No termino muy tarde así que después pudimos descansar sin problema.

Como pequeña sugerencia las almohadas eran muy altas y un pelín incómodas para mi gusto

我的评价完全是根据这家酒店五星级的定位以及价格而言的，如果是二星或三星，现在的评价就是多余的了。 首先，这家根据古宅改造的酒店，每一间房子都不一样，这很好。这是与现代酒店每间客房都雷同不同之处。 第二，尽管改造老房子需要遵循某些规则，比如政府的文物保护条例，但在追求原滋原味，尽力回归原始风貌（不妨把这一努力理解为追求美）的同时，房间的居住功能受到了损害，部分功能缺失了。换句话说，酒店在展示建筑之美和生活实用性二者之间还有许多工作可以做。房东需要牢记的是，这栋老宅最初也是为居住而建的。现在的酒店不过是房东根据自身对老宅的想象和猜测恢复重建起来的。 第二，就房间的生活实用性而言，可举一例，如果客人想在房间泡一杯自己喜欢的热茶，房间没有电热水壶，即便客人自己携带了热水壶，热水壶放在那里也成问题，因为没有摆放热水壶的桌子。这说明，房子的改造或规划者最初就没有想到这个问题。为此，我希望酒店的所有者或实际控制人有机会去亚洲一趟，比如泰国，你会发现即便最简陋的酒店也会给房间配置电热水壶，更别提五星级酒店了，这是基本要求。何况放置一个热水壶并没有破坏建筑之美。我推想，如果老宅的主人醒来，他也会赞同添加电热水壶这样的基本生活设施。 第三，根据我与booking的购买合同，我的退房时间应该是下午13:30之前。然而，我几乎是被前台“赶走”的。当日，大约11:40am前台一位女士推开我的前门，而我当时正在洗澡🛁。她把门打开了，却没有关上，我感觉很尴尬。之后她又敲了两次门。我明确告诉她，我的退房时间是下午一点半。她居然说，我们有了下一位客人。我匆忙穿好衣服，在下午13:10分把房间钥匙🔑交给了前台。 在过去20年，本人在booking购买过几百家酒店的服务。你们是第一家在规定退房时间之前反复催促我离开的酒店。显然，这很不专业，而且毫无教养。建议安排前台工作人员去酒店专门学校培训一下。 第三，其他需要改进的细节还有很多，我不再提供了。其实，只要房东或酒店的实际控制人进行一次微服私访（戴上面具👺，别让前台或酒店值班经理认出你来），你很快便会知道怎样改进自己的工作。
