Very quiet site - no road noise. Chalet was clean and air con was a bonus in the heatwave

The site was jaded even though the managers seemed busy. The chalet was difficult access through a neighbouring chalet garden so garden privacy was disrupted. No direct car parking next to chalet so was a nuisance taking luggage to chalet. The site lacked atmosphere - the pool is quite a distance from the chalet and quite a walk on terraced terrain so we didnt bother as it was just too hot. The reception could be a lot more visually welcoming - very stark. It is very regimented, we arrived early after a long drive but told to leave the site as checking is at 4pm - there was no option to sit in a bar area to wait. The chalet had a very regimented list of cleaning instructions and a price list for each item that would be deducted from the deposit if not up to standard displayed on the toilet door!!! The showerhead support bar was missing meaning the shower had to be hand held - not great when trying to wash hair! We did report it and they were already aware it needed fixing but hadn't bothered - bit strange when they are insistant everything was to be cleaned or pay 70 euros for them to clean. Overall felt a little too strict to relax. 1st time we have ever been charged separately for rubbish!! You passed through the workshed area to access the chalet so everything felt a bit decapitated.
