Hakoniwa Base Nagoya Minato

This place was amazing from the start. The apartment is updated, clean, and has everything you could want or need. Everything is easily labeled in English for use. The bed is one of the largest and comfiest I’ve ever slept on in Japan. The owner(s) really thought of everything and provide PLENTY of amenities for your stay. Should you have any questions, they are a message away and extremely responsive. Safety is a huge priority with warning labels in tight spaces to prevent from accidents and nightlights to help navigate through late nights. As for the location itself, there is a convenience store ~5 mins away as well as a huge mall ~10 mins away via walking. Tokaidori Station will be your home station and connects you to the Meiko Line straight into the downtown or port area. There are plenty of bus stops to take you as well! All in all, it’s a lovely place to stay for a pair of friends or a couple.

If you plan to bring large suitcases or bags, it can be a little difficult to move around the area. Highly recommended to leave large baggage on the first floor genkan to access when needed. The table in the living area is very convenient but can get in the way often and there’s no real space to place it aside. None of these things bothered me personally, but it’s something to keep in mind when staying.
