Sarasota Pool Home with Mini-Putt

The home was newly remodeled, which was nice, but the positives mostly ended there. Check-in was delayed because cleaners were still there, and the outside trash was left overflowing, prompting a neighbor to come over and complain. The host was unresponsive and unhelpful about the issue.The house wasn’t fully equipped (no potholders, limited trash cans), one toilet seat wasn’t secured, and we couldn’t find smoke or CO2 detectors. Some items still had sale stickers, and lamps were placed where there were no outlets. The yard had garbage littered everywhere, tons of cigarette butts, fence gaps (small dog owners beware), and loose bricks by the pool-be careful where you step. The amenities provided were fine.We also had unexpected visitors—a pool cleaner and refinance representatives who had the door code—without notice, which raised privacy concerns. The host responded rudely when contacted and accused us of creating the problems.We understand that other people have the door code, but notice from the host should be provided. We understand it's not our property but a level of privacy we feel should be afforded. We experienced electrical issues with the microwave, poorly placed Wi-Fi equipment, and a tricky door keypad. Overall, communication with the host was rude poor, and lacking. We would ask questions and get half answers. Wait a day, get the rest of the answers (if we're lucky). You get the picture. For the price, better options and hosts are available in this area.
