The Space:

One of the few true one-bedroom condos in the Grand Lodge — and one that genuinely sleeps six. Recently updated with new mattresses, carpet and couch.

➔ Bedroom: Two queen beds plus a private ensuite full bath — a real door that closes for the kids or a second couple.

➔ Living Room: A queen Murphy bed folds down for two more, alongside the sofa and TV.

➔ Two Full Bathrooms: One ensuite, one off the living area — no waiting on a powder morning.

➔ Kitchenette + Dining: Full fridge, cooktop, microwave and dishwasher (no oven), bar-top counter, and a separate dining table for the whole group.

➔ The Grand Lodge (on site): Indoor/outdoor pool, large hot tub, steam room, fitness center, free parking with EV charging, and a free town shuttle.

3 Pros / 2 Cons — straight talk:

+ About a 5-minute walk to the lifts; guests clock it at "5 minutes or less."

+ Sleeps 6 in a true 1-bedroom — "remarkably large for a one bedroom condo."

+ Pool, hot tub, steam room and gym on site for after the slopes.

- No oven — full fridge, cooktop, microwave and dishwasher only.

- No A/C, and the building's amenities are run by separate management and can close without notice.

Guest Access:

You have the entire condo to yourselves, plus full access to the Grand Lodge's shared amenities: indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, steam room, fitness center, and free outdoor parking (one parking pass per unit) with EV charging available.

There is no longer a front desk at the Grand Lodge, but we're quick to respond by message throughout your stay. Self check-in is by keypad — you'll get the code and arrival details before you arrive.

Please note: the pool, hot tub, steam room and gym are operated by the building's management, not by Traverse. If one is closed for maintenance during your stay, we're unable to offer a refund since we don't control those amenities.

The Neighborhood:

The Grand Lodge sits at the base of Mt. Crested Butte, about a 5-minute walk to the lifts and the base village's coffee shop, gear stores and restaurants. The historic town of Crested Butte — known for Elk Avenue's Victorian storefronts, art galleries, breweries and restaurants — is roughly a 10-minute drive or a ride on the free town shuttle.

Crested Butte is a true four-season destination. Winter brings skiing and snowboarding right at the base; summer opens up world-class hiking and mountain biking, wildflower season (Crested Butte is Colorado's official Wildflower Capital), rafting and fishing. The Gunnison–Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is about a 40-minute drive.

Getting Around:

Most guests drive in — there's a free outdoor parking lot with EV charging, and one parking pass comes with the unit. Once you're here you can leave the car parked: the lifts are about a 5-minute walk, and a free town shuttle runs from the base to Elk Avenue in historic Crested Butte. The Gunnison–Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) is about a 40-minute drive.

Other Things to Note:

License #304484

A few honest notes so there are no surprises:

• No oven — the kitchenette has a full fridge, cooktop, microwave and dishwasher.

• No air conditioning — heat only. Crested Butte's elevation keeps nights cool.

• The pool, hot tub, steam room and gym are operated by the building's management and can occasionally close without notice.

• Not pet friendly (building HOA policy).

• Housekeeping is not daily; a mid-stay turnover can be arranged on request.

• Self check-in by keypad — code and details sent before arrival.

Interaction with Guests:

We're a quick message away the whole time you're here. There's no front desk at the Grand Lodge anymore, so we handle everything by message — check-in details and keypad code before you arrive, local tips on request, and fast answers if anything comes up. We give you your space, but help is always one text away.
