Lakecampers for foreign travellers

Thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay here. I enjoyed the location, nestled between a rice paddy and a water way, with lots of birds and their sounds around. Arrived late but the host Jay was gracious and I was made to feel at home immediately, joining the other guests around the table. This a simple place with a great vibe, thanks to the host. A couple of days after, I joined a group with Jay for a memorable Sunrise Kayak ride, boat trip, home made breakfast and Tody Taster in some of the remote backwaters of Alleppey. It was wonderful! Jay is knowledgeable about backwater birds and this trip is highly recommended for those interested in the local fauna and flora.

Mosquitoes! Come prepared with creams and repellants... an unavoidable 'bug' of being in the backwaters. As a business, I felt it could do with a bit more tidiness and a bit of polish here and there, however they have great plans to develop the space and this for me did not detract from the overall chilled experience. Thus, recommended 😀

A little paradise of quiet and simpleness in the backwaters. Jay is an amazing host, that will show you the hidden gems of the area, boat tour, kayak, breakfast places, toddy shop, guitar on the beach, home gathering… you never get bored with Jay. He might even get you a train ticket if needed !

You might never want to leave. And careful, Jay charges you 0€ per photo taken.

Onwijs lieve eigenaar, Jay is super gastvrij en denkt graag mee met wat er te doen is in de omgeving. Hij zorgt ervoor dat je je thuisvoelt en organiseert ook super leuke kayak tours door de backwaters.

Hij is nog bezig met het verder ontwikkelen van zijn huisje, dus het is wat simpel, maar meer hadden wij niet nodig! Hij heeft het wel al knus aangekleed met hangmatjes en een leuk zitje!
