Walkable Racine Retreat! 1 Mi to Lake Michigan

The location was convenient...close to the Lake. It was a good price given I needed a place for four for a wedding. The hosts were accommodating and kind. We felt safe with the ample locks and camera in the back to protect cars. Despite the neighborhood being a bit iffy with a lot of store fronts either empty or being renovated, the place was comfortable and met our needs. A/C works well...new flat screen tv in living room and new appliances in the kitchen. the hosts were lovely and responsive.

The couches were uncomfortable in the living room and one leg was broken but they are aware and should be fixing. My bed was hard but that's a me problem as many people like hard mattresses. I wish there was a lock box on the front door because the back stairs where the keypad and lock box were located were too difficult for my mother to navigate...so it took us more time to navigate getting in and out because I had to park in the back then come in and down the front to let my mom in the front door. One other recommendation...you have a microwave but no microwavable dishes in the place so get some glass plates or bowls so people can properly use the microwave.
