Duyu Hotel 都寓酒店公寓

Central location, perfect for layover. Also very easy to get a taxi from and to the airport with help from the staff!

Host was lovely, he provided great assistance and helped us with many things including getting to and from accomodation as well as dinner recommendations. The room itself was cozy and had all our basic needs: shower, bed and toilet. The projector TV was also quite cool, felt like a movie cinema. Overall a great place to stay, especially if your doing an over night lay over!

It was a little hard to navigate to the hotel. When we originally put the location into google maps, it took us to the wrong location. The photos of the room were also a little misleading, the room itself was definitely great for what we paid for, however it didn’t look as bright and colourful as the pictures. I’m not sure if we got unlucky with room choice or just based off the price we paid, but our window faced into a wall so would have been nice to have a little bit of natural lighting. But this definitely was not a make or break for us, either way it was perfect for the 1 night layover stay.

Could not recommend it enough. Wei and Ye (the staff) helped me with everything, and i didnt have to ask for it. I was picked up from the airport by Ye, and we communicated via translate. When we got to the hotel Ye and Wei helped me install the local app (alipay) that i could use to pay. We also installed the local VPN, so that i could use the wifi in the hotel and even use google. In the morning, i went to the street to get some breakfast. This was nice, to do and i could pay with the app. The street was full of restaurants and food stalls. After breakfast, Ye brought me back to the airport. This was a very nice experience in Xiamen. I would defenitely book it again, if i had a layover in Xiamen!
