Owners showed me how to use the lock.
I couldn’t shut the door to my room so I couldn’t lock it. I was in room 2 at 27a Conder Street, Burwood I will check that the door can be closed before staying there again.

Stayed at the other place, and if that’s anything to go by the original will be nothing like the photos. I know it’s budget so have taken that into consideration for rating however many small inexpensive changes would make a big difference. My rooms light switch was outside so anyone could turn it on or off and no lamp in the room. No bins. Couldn’t plug phone charger into outlet as too close to the floor. Slide bolts on inside and outside with combo padlock to lock the door. Someone could lock you in your room from the outside. House always open too so any one could walk in. 1 bathroom between 5 rooms. Simple proper door locks, a bin, a lamp and usable power outlets and I would maybe stay there again.
