Palais el Abbassia

•⁠ ⁠The riad was extremely welcoming - evidenced by the biscuits and mint tea given to us on arrival (with a cute chicken tea cozy). •⁠ ⁠All three main staff members (Fatima, Safinaz and Bouchra) were amazing. Fatima was lovely and extremely helpful for booking transfers from the airport and to the train station. Additionally, she also booked us a trip to Ouarzazate while Safinaz walked with us at 7:30 AM until we found our transport! Similarly, Bouchra, walked with us through the streets to welcome our friend who arrived later from the airport and escorted us to our taxi at 7:45 AM when we left for the train station. •⁠ ⁠Additionally, the staff often gave helpful recommendations and always enquired about our day. •⁠ ⁠The riad itself was tastefully decorated, with comfortable rooms and a beautiful courtyard. We spent many a warm afternoon lounging around the pool reading books and swimming. •⁠ ⁠Great air conditioning •⁠ ⁠The room was also cleaned everyday and there were good breakfasts on the rooftop. These breakfasts alternated per day with lots of variety spanning from fruits, apricot jam, amlou, honey, cheese, msemmen, baghrir, orange juice, mint tea/coffee and other pastries. We would very happily stay at Palais el Abbasid again!

Nothing! While the riad was slightly far out from main medina, Safinaz, one of the staff, walked part of the way into town with us to help us find our way at the beginning of the stay. A friendly face which easily made up for the short distance and helped us feel instantly settled into Marrakesh! We quickly learned how to get around and enjoyed the riad's location.

Établissement propre et très joli. Ryad place dans un lieu calme à 15min à pieds des souks et 30min de la place place Jemaa el fna. L’accueil est exceptionnel. Fatima est exceptionnelle, on peut compter sur elle, elle nous a bien aidé et soutenue tout au long du séjour. Bouchra est elle aussi très bienveillante et a su nous régaler par ses préparations au petit déjeuner, son couscous poulet citron et ses pastilles au lait sucré.

The Riad is beautiful! I cannot fault this property, the pictures don’t do it justice. From the moment we walked in Fatima made us feel so welcome, always greeting us with a smile and helping us however she could. We were greeted with lovely tea and sweet treats upon arrival, our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels, the breakfast was delicious and the beds were so comfy. I absolutely recommend for a stay in Marrakech. It is in a quieter area away from the main hustle and bustle of the Medina, which we absolutely loved. The rooftop is perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Walking distances: 5-10 minutes: local restaurants and shops 20 minutes: the souks 30 minutes: the main square.
