Le Marais - Iconic Penthouse with Balcony

Location was great; apartment had a good open living space and small balcony. Air conditioning was essential in the 30 degrees+ heat. Was on 5th floor so lift was essential although very small (2 people) requiring multiple journeys with people and bags (but better than stairs).

Hosts communication was very poor. We had been requested to provide a security deposit. Booking.com made a mistake and said we should not pay it but we asked the hosts and they did not communicate well or timely. We asked during the stay about bin bags as only 1 was provided(!) and they failed to get back to us just sending an automated message saying: "you are leaving tomorrow etc". The same when trying the telephone number - never picked up or responded. The door handle came off in elderly relative's hand. There was no way to get in touch to fix it so had to 'DIY'. Another door handle was bent. The listing did not mention that only the primary bedroom had a dedicated en-suite. The other double room and the single room shared a bathroom with adjoining doors which was far from ideal and which was not in the description. It felt like a 'hands-off' rental and that service was disappointing particular for the premium price paid. We would stay elsewhere next time in Paris.

Beautiful, spacious, clean apartment in a great, vibrant location! And the air conditioning was a lifesaver during the heat wave. Would absolutely stay here again.

Beds were too hard, and the apartment did not have 2 single beds in third bedroom as advertised

Brilliant location, spotlessly clean. Lovely sunny airy sitting room.

Beds cramped spaces around wardrobe cupboards. Very, very noisy rubbish collection at 6am service on both days!
