Kawiya Healing Retreat Sanctuary By Bali Cabin

Incredibly beautiful location and natural surroundings. The best view I’ve had in many trips to Bali. The entry to the hotel via the rice fields was absolutely beautiful and the location right above Gunung Kawi temple is unbeaten. The village is still authentic, peaceful and not overrun by villas (yet). The pool was sparkling clean and the gardens spectacular. The view is really superb. The staff were incredibly kind. Watching fire flies in the garden was such a magic moment.

The reason I can’t give the property a 10 comes down to details and hygiene. I stayed 2 nights in 2 separate rooms. The first room (Kunang Kunang room) had the smallest, ugliest bathroom I’ve experienced. The shower was almost on top of the toilet and sink. It didn’t seem finished. No hooks for hanging towels or toiletries. The bathroom is also not private. It has no ceiling and is right behind the bed, so if you’re going with a partner, be prepared to hear everything that happens in the bathroom. The room is huge and there are 2 enormous and impractical pieces of storage furniture taking up space that would be better served by a larger bathroom. The lamp in Kunang Kunang room was useless, it throws no light at all. My book light was more useful. After the first night, there was a problem in the Kunang Kunang room, of bugs in the mattress protector. The staff were quick to act and strip the bed and offer a vacuum but I was not comfortable to sleep in that bed again, so was kindly moved to one of the wooden bungalows. Such an immediate improvement, and it had a finished bathroom and natural floors. The wooden bungalows are far nicer. The balconies really deserve comfortable chairs. The plastic stools are uncomfortable and not conducive to relaxing with that beautiful view. My balcony in the wooden bungalow didn’t have a table, only two plastic stools. I had to improvise or eat in one of the outdoor eating areas. That incredible view deserves a space that allows you to take it all in and be comfortable. The balcony should also have a towel rack. I work in the travel industry and want this place to succeed so the importance of paying attention to the details can’t be overstated in order to take this place from good to great. There are other little things that could be improved but I don’t have the space to write them.

Alles, es war die beste Unterkunft, die wir in unseren 3 Monaten auf Bali hatten. Es ist sooo friedlich, die Umgebung ist so schön, das ganze Resort und auch die Angestellten sind unglaublich freundlich. Unser Highlight war das Healing Package, was auch super privat und wunderschön war. Danke für alles! Wir können die Aufenthalt/die Buchung nur wärmstens ans Herz legen, zumal es von Locals geführt wird!

The location is amazing!! the view, the sounds. incredible. Also the staff was incredible. The were so nice for my little boy. And help you with everything. I would really recommend this place!! 10/10

Ein ganz fantastischer Rückzugsort mitten in den Reisfeldern mit Blick zum Mount Agung. Der Pool ist toll, es ist absolut ruhig und wirklich zum Seele baumeln lassen. Das ganze Personal ist herzlich, nett und super hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind groß, das Bett super bequem. Wir haben hier auch Frühstück und Abendessen genossen. Ebenfalls zu empfehlen. Und Preis-Leistung ist top!
