Vasilina's Apartment

Great apartment, awesome host, I liked everything, 100 out of 10 from me! I stayed in the apartment for almost 4 weeks in June, together with my parents and a nephew. We occupied all 3 rooms and actively used kitchen for cooking. The apartment is very well prepared for long stays. It is spacious, clean, has two balconies (one with a table and chairs), has fully equipped kitchen, all appliances for cooking, cleaning, laundry (washing machine, rack); good furniture etc. One could notice host’s attention to even small details. The beds are comfortable. Two rooms are overlooking a big street but noone who slept there complained about noise. There was tea, coffee and further nice treats for the guests in the kitchen which was very pleasant and very appreciated ☺️ Also hot water in the bathroom worked permanently and we did not need to switch it on and off (which can happen in Greece). Vasilina is an amazing host and communication with her was excellent: fast replies, very friendly, very helpful. Vasilina gave me cool suggestions about restaurants and cafes around the accommodation and in the city, I really liked those. I believe this knowledge can be useful for other guests, too! Just ask Vasilina to share the same links with you 😉 I liked the location. It is not in the very center but is quite close. You need only 2 min to get to metro (e.g. to go to the center or to the airport), about 15 minutes on foot to reach the promenade. There are good cafes, bakeries, restaurants, many supermarkets and shops for diverse needs around. I really appreciated Mikel Coffee just 2 minutes away from the apartment, as well as Σ Σύγχρονα Εστιατόρια (a restaurant with inexpensive home-style food) quite close by. But generally you’ll find places for different tastes and budgets around the corner. Regarding parking: my parents traveled with a car and we managed to find parking places nearby.

Probably the best apartment I've ever stayed in (and I travel a lot).. Insane attention to detail (I still can't get over how amazing the bedding was).. Sparkling clean and with absolutely all the amenities (even a stick vacuum cleaner!). Great internet speed The owners had also provided some bottles of water and a substantial amount of materials for coffee and breakfast, which I greatly appreciated! Finally the location... I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the area. Within walking distance from the centre (and if you don't feel like walking, the metro station is literally opposite the flat), but also far more airy (=less crowded) than the city centre. And you have a supermarket, a hairdresser, a gym and even a chiropractor and dentist within 2 minutes walking distance.

Everything was spot on. If you're too picky, you might not like that the flat is in front of a busy (and thus noisy) street. But really double glazing works wonders (I could not hear a peep with the windows closed) and having this big street means no nearby buildings to block the sunlight, which in my book is a huge plus.

The owner was very kind and the house was fantastic.
