Mai Chau Boutique Homestay

Pros: Management was friendly and helpful. Nice accommodations, room was large, good views, with nice balcony and furniture to relax. nice pool. Room was very spacious.. breakfast was basic, more variety would be welcomed along with some type of juice. Complementary Bicycle came with my room reservation and was definitely welcome to enjoy the beautiful scenery in Mai Chau.

Cons: very hard mattress, no complementary coffee or tea offered for the rooms only electric kettle you have to provide your own tea and coffee for the room No lounge chairs provided around the pool area. Housekeeping didn’t provide toiletries daily when cleaning room. Management very slow to respond to concerns,

Restaurant did not have much vegan / chay food but the location is a close walk to other veggie/vegan places

The food was v average compared to every other restaurant we’ve eaten in whilst in Vietnam

* The staff were incredibly kind, always greeting us with big smiles and eager to help with anything we needed. * The hotel itself is beautiful, with comfortable beds and clean, soft sheets. The bathroom was well-maintained and modern. * We had a lovely view of the surrounding landscape, which added to the overall relaxing atmosphere. * There are several good local restaurants within walking distance, including Mai Chau Countryside, which we highly recommend.

* Unfortunately, our stay coincided with construction work at the hotel (a new pool being built), which started early in the morning and was quite loud from 7 am onwards (december 2025). * The hotel’s restaurant service was lacking. The included breakfast was often either not ready or already cleared away (likely due to low occupancy). For dinner, many items on the menu were unavailable. * Room cleaning was not thorough, and we only received fresh towels when we asked for them. * The hotel sometimes played very loud music, which was unnecessary and disturbing. * It seems that the hotel is undergoing a transition (changing its name to Boutique Hotel from its previous identity as 4 Seasons), which could explain some of the teething issues, like new staff and management.
