Edward and Aina were perfect hosts and ensured our stay was comfortable and relaxed. We had the place to ourselves and everything was well thought through. The breakfast was fantastic, we were looked after extremely well and they went out of their way to meet my dietary requirements, the cakes were lovely too 😊. The location was great with beautiful views, and well situated for our stay. A short walk to one of the local pubs, and another about 40mins walk or 10min drive.

Be careful of the stairs, it's an old listed property and has cottage winder stairs. We managed fine but others may struggle. No TV but didn't affect our stay, again may bother others. If you're tall beware of ceiling heights and beams. As long as you can cope with these, I highly recommend staying here!

The house is beautiful and very well maintained. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

Lovely scrambled eggs on homemade toasted bread. Aina's baking was an extra nice touch for both morning and afternoon tea! Edward was very accommodating and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Very spacious and lots of room to relax and unwind.

This is an exceptionally beautiful property. It dates from the 1600s and is full of character. We stayed in the king size suite and had our own bathroom. We also had sole use of the living room, library, dining area and garden as we were the only guests. Our bedroom had views of the garden and fields beyond. The village is so peaceful and had two lovely old pubs, one in walking distance and the other on the River Waveney. The village is well located with Beccles and Bungay a short drive away. Southwold is a beautiful old seaside town about 30 minutes drive - the home of Adnams brewery, which is well worth a visit. The property was really well-equipped: for example there were toiletries in the bathroom, a hair dryer in the bedroom and music player in the library. There was always a plentiful supply of cakes, biscuits, fruit and a variety of hot drinks in the dining room. This included a homemade Victoria sandwich. For breakfast, there was a choice of teas, coffee, Suffolk apple juice, yoghurts, seasonal fresh fruit (we had melon, grapes, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries), porridge, scrambled eggs, or baked beans on toast. Our hosts, Aina and Edward, were incredibly attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved it so much we didn't want to come home!

There is no TV - although we were quite happy with that! The stairs could be tricky for some.
