Located between Canaan Valley and Davis. Outdoor adventure, local charm, and scenic views are never far away. The perfect basecamp for exploring West Virginia’s wild beauty.
Your dog is welcome too, because every good adventure deserves a wagging tail.
Trout Lily Cottage sits on 11 private acres of forest and meadow, giving you a true mountain escape. The land is rich with natural springs, shaded hemlock groves, and lush rhododendron thickets. Wander among mossy fields dotted with huckleberry bushes and extra large boulders, it’s a landscape that feels wild, peaceful, and uniquely West Virginia.
Trout Lily Cottage has a nearly identical twin house located right next to it, called Sundew Cottage. Both cottages are part of the property referred to as "The Fens," and each appropriately named after native plants found in West Virginia wetlands.
Guests have access to the entire house excluding one owners closet under the stairs.

Dogs are welcome, but please plan accordingly, ALL dogs must be crated if you plan on leaving them alone in the house.

Host was great could not ask for a better location and place to stay. We stayed a week and felt at home. Will definitely stay again. We have two dogs and was perfect for them.

Kate was amazing with communication and ensured we had everything we could possibly need! The property was beautiful and secluded and was the perfect space for us. The view from the bedroom was absolutely stunning and the place was super clean and organized! Would absolutely recommend this place as the location is very convenient and the price is well worth it!

This is the cutest cabin, very clean and well stocked. Kate was very helpful and available for any questions. I would recommend and will stay again while in this area.
