The deck on the top floor was lovely and the family area with windows on three sides afforded a great view of the Pamlico sound, the creek birdlife, and daily sunsets. Avon is well located for the quiet beaches, the calm Haulover beach (great for kids), and the car ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke which is a superb day trip. The house was spotless and beds very comfortable.

Beautiful home and great location. We did have problems with the AC and finding a lot of bugs or roaches on the downstairs level. There is also a camera pointed at the driveway which was not disclosed on the listing. Overall lovely home for a great price. House had everything we needed, easy check in and check out process. Would recommend for a cheap stress free getaway.
