About this house rental
A 2,500-square-foot home, Whitaker Escape is all decked out for your next Hatteras vacation! The ground level offers easy ocean access, a shower, a fish-cleaning table, an under-home entry, and two carports. The entry-level has storage available. On level two, the first bedroom has deck access and is close to a full hall bath with a tub/shower combo. The second bedroom has a bath with a whirlpool. The third bedroom has deck access and is close to laundry nook. The furnished decks offer incredible ocean and sunset views. The third-level great room has a full bath with a shower, tall ceilings, warm cedarwood accents, superb views, resort furnishings, and a TV. The well-appointed kitchen has a breakfast bar with a vegetable sink and access to the dining area and to a covered porch with a picnic table. The fourth bedroom has deck access. Sun decks capture all ocean views. A large, fourth-level furnished loft has a TV, deck access, and a queen-size sleeper sofa. Escape to the beach or down to the docks because the best of Hatteras is just out the door of beautiful Whitaker Escape.

Lovely view of the ocean and sunrise even though you are a few houses back. The home had a lovely loft where our girls enjoyed the board games that was there at the home. The stairs was not a challenge. And I have knee problems. The whirlpool tube was relaxing!!!!
Regarding the other reviews we read, there was no any problem and the bugs and nieghbors was not a problem. There was a new home being constructed next door but construction guys actually kept noise to a minimum and you didn’t know they was there.
Also Happy Belly Ice Cream is a quick walk to the end of the street!!!!!!!

Overall, we had a wonderful week relaxing and spending time at the beach. The beach was a very short walk, the kitchen was VERY well stocked, and the house had plenty of room to spread out or all be together depending on which was preferred.

Really spacious home and well taken care of. There were a few things that need updating such as the master bath (flusher didn’t work properly) and the top deck/railings. But overall we had a great experience.

Great location! Quick walk to the beach in a quiet area. Unfortunately we dealt with ants all over the kitchen counters from day 1, only 1 of the 3 toilets worked properly, and the beds seemed a little worn out. We would stay here again though.
