Laroza guest house

Didn't spend much time there but it was clean, and conveniently located.

There's no dedicated reception for 1 to easily navigate around.

Staff was friendly place is very clean. It is located very close to shops and restaurants and other facilities.

1)The Zulu-speaking lady was friendly and helpful and always there even after-hours 2)The property is within walking distance to Pick n Pay, SuparSpar, Debonairs, Steers , Laundromat and public transport. 3)There is a complimentary laundry service and a kitchen to prepare own meal including a shared fridge should one want to preserve frozen items. 4) Rooms have microwave, bar fridge, kettle jug, complimentary tea/coffee 5) Free Wifi is a welcome service and smart TVs in all rooms. 6) Rooms looked clean, well prepared, and spacious

1)The air conditioner in our room did not function properly. Sadly, at the time, it was hot and humid, especially at night. 2) The owner rents out a portion of the property to long-term tenants. Sadly, those tenants make noise which disturbs guests at the Guest House especially on weekends. The logic is understandably: Long-term tenants help with predictable cash flows for the property, but the noise is slowly killing the "Guest House" business model at the same property. 3) There is no clearly marked "Reception Area" for guests arriving for check-in or for manual bookings. When you enter the property, you have no idea where to go and there is no employee dedicated to welcoming guests. This is very bad especially for first impressions. 4) No hangers in the room we occupied. This is really petty and can easily be fixed. 5) The property is infested with cockroaches like a disease - this is also petty and easy to fix i.e call in pest controllers to destroy the cockroaches!!
