Calling this "Luxury Apartments" sets expectations very high. Too high! The building is modern and the equipment is modern. The host/owner was very responsive through WhatsApp.

Staff on-site speaks Italian only. The room (called studio apartment) was small and tight. The only table was a small, narrow, inconvenient bar table, with bar stools. Very little space on the table. A person sitting at the table blocks access to the fridge. One small window at floor level makes it dark in the room and stuffy. Half of the room has the ceiling so low that it makes it impossible to stand straight or sit up in bed, even for people who are not very tall. It is easy to bump your head. Utensils (plates, silverware, cups, glasses) supplied for two people only. Yet in a number of places there is information that if anything is missing after the guest leave, they will be charged for it. No trash can in the bathroom. No washing machine, yet (to add insult to injury) in the space prepared for a washing machine there is a big laundry hamper. The shower drain was all clogged up. Daily cleaning service made the bed (not needed), but did not clean the shower nor did they replace towels. Not enough towel hooks (just one) and no shelf for cosmetics in the bathroom. There is a strong aroma of an air freshener in the hallway. Too strong for comfort, as if something was being covered up. There is a gas stove in the kitchen. On the day of arrival we got a message about how to electronically access the apartment in which it said that to have the gas turned on we should have informed the staff when making the reservation. No salt or pepper in the kitchen. No cutting board. There is info on Booking that there is an optional breakfast. In fact there is ONLY a vending machine at the reception desk. The walls are not soundproof. We had to listen to our neighbors watching a football game. The surroundings are an industrial area with an unwelcoming feel. Doesn't feel safe. Also the main gate to the premises is closed - opens by making a phone call. Made us wonder about neighborhood safety in general.
