    I stayed at The Soma Hotel for 6 nights and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing despite a few positives. The biggest issue was the attitude of the front desk staff. The person at reception was rude, unhelpful, and showed very little interest in resolving the problems we faced. Instead of making our stay comfortable, every complaint felt like a struggle. We had to change rooms twice during our stay because of issues. The first room had a wet carpet with water on the floor, which was unacceptable. Even after changing rooms, we continued to face problems, making the repeated shifting very inconvenient. Water supply was another major concern. At times there was no water coming from the taps, and we repeatedly had to call the front desk to get it restored. Mobile network coverage inside the rooms was also very poor for both Jio and Airtel, and the hotel's Wi-Fi was inconsistent and mostly unusable, making it difficult to stay connected. The room amenities were minimal. Apart from towels, soap, and body wash, nothing else was provided, which was disappointing for a hotel in this category. That said, there were a few things the hotel got right. The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk from Darjeeling Railway Station, making it very convenient for Toy Train travelers. The restaurant served delicious food throughout our stay, and the housekeeping staff were polite, hardworking, and always helpful. Overall, while the location, food, and housekeeping were good, the poor front desk service, unreliable Wi-Fi, weak mobile network, water supply issues, and room maintenance problems significantly affected our stay. I hope the management takes these issues seriously, as the hotel has good potential but needs major improvements in guest service and maintenance.

    We have booked For 3 days the first room they have provided was terrible after lots of complaints they have shifted us to a different room which was slightly better. No lift and most of the rooms are underground. Staff are exceptionally good 💯
