Desert Flora was planned from the yard inward: shaded patios, carefully chosen desert plantings and an outdoor bathtub with a shower beside it, all inside a fully fenced yard in Joshua Tree. Soak on the deck in the hot tub, dip into the seasonal cowboy tub (closed November through March), stretch out on the outdoor bed in the afternoon, then light the fire pit after dinner on the patio. Two queen bedrooms and a converted garage lounge. Bathe under the open sky at least once.



The Space:

Desert Flora is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom home in Joshua Tree designed around outdoor living, with shaded patios, generous seating and carefully planned desert landscaping. The deck holds a hot tub and a cowboy tub, and an outdoor shower and bathtub area, an outdoor bed and a fire pit fill out the fully fenced yard. Inside, high-end furniture, two queen bedrooms and a converted garage lounge give everyone space to spread out. Run the outdoor bath after dark and leave the lights off.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The deck has a hot tub and a cowboy tub; the cowboy tub is not an in-ground pool and is closed November through March. An outdoor shower and bathtub area, an outdoor bed and plenty of seating make it easy to stay outside all day. The private patio, outdoor dining table, propane BBQ and fire pit are set for evenings under the stars, and the backyard is fully fenced.

The interior has high-end finishes and furniture, a smart TV, board games and books. The converted garage lounge adds a second place to gather.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The kitchen has a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, kettle and cooking basics, plus a drip coffee maker and a French press. Eat inside or at the outdoor dining table.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

Desert Flora has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and one bathroom, plus the outdoor shower and bathtub.



-Surrounding Area-

Joshua Tree village and Joshua Tree National Park are the easy outings from Desert Flora, with Pioneertown and Pappy & Harriet's and La Copine for the evenings.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy! Please note that a few supply closets stay locked to store rental supplies.

Other Things to Note:

-Cowboy Tub-

The pool at Desert Flora is a cowboy tub, not an in-ground pool. The cowboy tub is unavailable for guest use from November through March.



-House-Specific Rules-

► Please avoid using the hot tub right after it has been serviced, while chemical levels are temporarily higher.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The hot tub is serviced Tuesdays and Fridays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed due to the owner's severe allergy.

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.

For your security, there are exterior cameras on the property, which monitor vehicles and occupancy. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the hot tub and outdoor bath areas.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
