Coconut Cubby

The location is convenient near the beach and also very close to Grande Ave through Grover beach. We had many wonderful outings (the fair, the succulent and rock shows, the thrift stories and yard sales, the reptile museum, farmers market, a hula show, flowers on Saturdays, deltina’s coffee, free birthday burger at Sylvester’s.) The staff is fantastic! Dee, the groundskeeper, went above and beyond to help us and Mikey, the manager was the best in every way. She was very good to us!!!! The king size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom is fabulous with a large ADA shower and double sinks. Very nice towels. There is a great sofa that is also a hide-a-bed. And there was nice patio furniture on the porch and the hot tub was right outside the condo. We used the ceiling fans a lot to cool down the inside temp. We used the laundry room at the complex which was reasonably priced. $2 to wash and $2 to dry. Tips: We brought extra seat cushions to elevate the living room chairs that were too low for us. We learned to adjust the shower head to improve the water pressure. The spectrum TV was temperamental, so I loaded a couple of our cable accounts (Netflix and prime) so we could watch those when needed. (Just make sure to sign them out when you leave.)

I wish we could have stayed longer.

Location was great, close to the beach. Pictures of the place match and there were no surprises.

I remember paying a cleaning fee and there is a super long checklist to be done for checkout. If I had known I have to play maid during vacation, I would not book this place in the first place. Also water pressure sucks takes a long time to wash off anything in the shower but this a problem with most units in this resort community. Will not be booking again. Here’s the checklist they did not tell you upfront. For check out just: 1. Trash & Recycling o Empty all trash into the outside bins. o Blue bin: Recyclables only o Green bin: Yard waste only o Use bins only as designated. 2. Utilities & Electronics o Turn off all thermostats, lights, and electronics. o Do not turn off water heaters, gas supply lines, or circuit breakers. 3. Windows & Doors o Close and lock all doors and windows. 4. Kitchen o Empty the refrigerator and cabinets of all food and perishable items. o Wash and clean all used dishes; leave them in the dishwasher or drying rack. Remotes & Accessories o Ensure all TV, DVD/VHS, and ceiling fan remotes are easily visible and not placed inside drawers or cabinets. 7. Personal Belongings o Carefully check for all personal items before departure. o There is a minimum $25.00 handling charge, plus postage, to retrieve and return left-behind items.
