The property is a lovely home hosted by a friendly and welcoming live-in landlady. I shared the main bathroom with other tenants, and while there were some initial plumbing issues, the landlady assured me they would be fixed promptly. There was also an additional toilet downstairs, which was convenient.
There were some cleanliness concerns in the shared bathroom at first, but these were addressed and resolved by the following day. I happened to arrive on the host’s birthday, and her guests were very warm and welcoming, which made for a pleasant first impression.
One issue I encountered was that the bedroom door locked automatically when I closed it with the key left inside. To resolve this, the landlady arranged for a builder to climb through the bedroom window to retrieve the key. She charged $50 for this, which I felt was a reasonable solution given the circumstances.
I would have preferred to have exclusive use of the home during me stay but the host and the other tenants were very welcoming.
