The Village Panglao

Cleanliness!! It was by far the cleanest hostel I have encountered in the Philippines. I was very happy to have NO anta or othet insects inside the room. Modern, clean room with facilities in very good shape (no rust, no dirt, no broken things etc). Friendly staff. Big lockers inside the room. Kettle for hot water and instant coffee. Aircon without a noise! In all other hostels the aircon makes such a noise. Very good temperature. Location. In a quiet, local alley but only few mins walk away from the busy center. Very good wifi connection. Laundry service.

Would be nice if they had that water dispenser with cold water (and not just a regular one with water that has the same temperature as outside=warm). Maybe they also could offer some cold drinks (against payment). Would be nice to put curtains on the sliding door or the dorm (not just the bed) because in the morning all the light comes inside and everybody can look inside.

Wunderbares Hostel! Sauber, modern und sehr gut gelegen. Die Dusche hat warmes Wasser, die normalen EU-Handystecker halten mehr oder weniger in der Steckdose und das Dorm hat AC. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und der Wäsche-Service war günstig, schnell und sehr gut.

Eventuell könnten beim Dorm Room noch Vorhänge vor die Scheibe/Tür gemacht werden statt nur vor den Betten aber das ist eine unwichtige Kleinigkeit.

A great location, central to everything and a short walking distance from Alona beach. Great friendly staff and the owner Bev was amazing. The place is super clean and very affordable. I spent time with local people that I met there and they were so awesome made my evenings very special. I would highly recommend here, you won't be disappointed. They only have one hot shower (which is a rare find in the Philippines) while the rest are cold but you could always use it as everyone was mindful in their usage. I loved that Bev had an honesty system for purchasing drinks and snacks and everyone adhered to this, beautiful. I loved all the plants and the green space, it had a really nice homely vibe.
