Nishadi Holiday Inn Kataragama

I had a wonderful stay at Nishadi Holiday Inn in Kataragama. We booked this place mainly because we wanted to go on a Yala safari, and the owner, Dasan, was incredibly helpful in arranging everything for us. The full-day safari was an amazing experience – we were lucky to see many animals including a leopard, elephants, and a variety of birds. It was truly unforgettable. The hotel also arranged a delicious Sri Lankan dinner for us, which we really enjoyed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Considering the price, it is definitely great value for money. The location is very convenient, just about a 2-minute walk to the town, and they even helped us visit the temple, which we really appreciated. The food was tasty, the service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and supportive throughout our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kataragama or planning a Yala safari. Great service, great experience, and very good safari arrangements with a knowledgeable jeep guide.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the service was outstanding. The owner, Dasan, was extremely helpful and arranged a safari for us. It was an amazing experience we were lucky enough to see leopards, elephants, and many other animals. It was truly unforgettable. The food was delicious, prepared in authentic Sri Lankan style, and the service was consistently great. The property is peaceful, relaxing, and very private a perfect place to unwind. If you are planning a Yala safari trip, I highly recommend staying here. It was a fantastic experience for us!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is perfect – a peaceful environment and very close to Kataragama town and the temple. We also went on a full-day Yala safari arranged by the hotel, and it was amazing! Everything was very well organized, and they handled all the arrangements smoothly. It was a fantastic experience and made our trip even more special. Highly recommend booking the safari through the hotel – super convenient and professionally managed. The service overall was excellent, and we felt very relaxed during our stay. Great value for money. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kataragama. Very conveniently located - bus station, eateries, temples, banks, stores etc. Clean room, comfortable beds.

No blankets, towels. No hand soap. Bathing soap (basic) was only provided after request. The use of the name Holiday Inn was misleading. Renovation was in progress. Only one staff member was present during checking, and mist of the time, no one was around. It looked like I was the only guest during my stay. Value did not meet the money.
