De ligging was prachtig, met Monkey Forest en rijstvelden zo ongeveer in de achtertuin. Asan zorgde ervoor dat we de mooiste plekjes zagen en nam ons overal mee naartoe. Hij zorgde voor een cooking class en een heerlijke massage op locatie. Iedereen was ontzettend gastvrij en warm, alsof we bij familie verbleven.

Never try, never know! Truly memorable stay. Mainly because of the rural location and guidance of the local host Hasan and his family. Accommodation is basic, but provides for a good bed and a hot shower. In total there are three cottages on side with a double bed each. Monkey forest is 20 minutes walk. Hasan will take you on tours in the local area if you want. Ion site he arranged a cooking class for us. His wife can create very tasty meals sourced from the local garden. Like banana tree soup. Some of the best meals we had in Indonesia.
Host is full on, sometimes difficult to escape. There is no pavement. Can imagine it will get muddy in the wet season.

Les propriétaires sont très attachants et veulent vraiment faire plaisir. Les repas et les petits déjeuners sont faits maison. La vue de la terrasse sur le jardin avec les bananiers est tres sympathique. Le rapport qualite prix est imbattable.
Difficile d'être indépendant si on n'utilise pas de scooter. L'isolation phonique du logement est tres limitée, avec un réveil généralement très matinal (appel a la prière notamment). Plutôt a privilégier pour un voyage en sac a dos plutôt que pour un séjour en famille.

We had a lovely stay with Asan and his family at Ponjol Cottages! The location is excellent as you are surrounded by nature and the breakfast in the morning was incredible. We had a lovely day been driven around my Asan and his nephew Langga to see the waterfalls and they took us to some local spots such as the market which were an experience you would only have with a local guide. We also did a cooking class where we made two very tasty curry’s and then enjoyed an evening with the family. Thank you Asan and everyone for making our stay unforgettable!! :)
