Rooftop Access - French Balcony - Central

the location was perfect for me… it was not only close to the event i was attending, it was close to all modes of public transportation in a very cute and tranquil neighborhood.. i was greeted by a lively woman who greeted me at the building and and reviewed the necessary details.. passcodes, key access, etc… she even installed a shower curtain for me since there was none before. the apartment was super quiet with a cute balcony.

the furnishings were super, super cheap… the cheapest ikea had to offer. it’s probably the most basic apartment i ever stayed in.. all the appliances were plug-in but functional.. the mattress was not a real mattress, it seemed to be a thick mattress topper… which was a bit soft.. there was no coffee maker, no dish towels/dish rack and one sauce pan with a lid that did not fit. luckily, there is a very cute cafe with very good coffee 4 minutes away..

This studio flat is located in the new residential complex Marone Suites in the Józsefváros district of Budapest. Although this accommodation is NOT located in the city centre, I still think its location is convenient. There are a bakery, a supermarket, a McDonald’s and a tram stop at only a few minutes’ walk. For anything more exciting, you’ll need to go further into town. It’s a 25 minutes’ walk to the Large Synagogue, the Large Market-hall as well as the eastern railway station. I found this studio flat to have a twin bed with a comfortably soft mattress, a French balcony overlooking a very quiet courtyard and a well-equipped kitchen with all the appliances, pots, plates and cutlery needed for a pleasant short stay. The security is top notch. I found the accommodation to be exactly as depicted.

I found it very annoying that I was only able to check in after 7 PM, because the accommodation still hadn’t been cleaned. Furthermore, although the bathroom actually comes with a bath, there’s neither a shower curtain nor a shower head bracket. Stay seated while showering or expect the bathroom floor to be flooded.
