Candy villa Balangan

Beautiful house decorated with good taste, 3 separate comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, and nice outside area with pool, but many things to say. It was the first time that this house was rented and it was unfinished, and the owner/concierge is really bad at his job.

I asked 3 times about check in process, precise address and indications, he never replied to me and told me « address is the same as on Booking ». When we arrived, no one was there to explain us or give indication, there are many houses exactly the same, we did not know which one it was… finally he replied and told us it is the first one, the house was open with one key only for the main entrance. 2 rooms only were open, and I had to fight with the owner for him to open the 3rd room. Apparently the « toilet was broken » but actually they just did not purchase the 3rd comforter (which they promesses to bring the next day, but never did). He did try to blame me for not precisely asking for 3 rooms, whereas it was 100% his fault. A few days later he sent people for cleaning the house and pool while we were not there, he blamed us for not leaving the house open and taking the key with us (whereas he NEVER asked us to leave the key, and also should have doubles of the key for the staff…) he wanted to charge us an extra fee for this « mistake », which I refused. The electricity cut FOUR times in ten days (in the middle of the night twice - no light no power no AC no WiFi), he blamed us for using too much power and asked me if I did the same at home (?!). When the electricity cut, we had to reach the owner and ask for a 20 numbers code that we had to put in the counter ourselves. A few other annoying things: - No duvet cover, comforter on top of a simple sheet - Labels still on all the (fake) plants and kitchen props - Polystyrene around the fridge and microwave - No hangers, nowhere to hang towels - Mirrors not fixed in the bathroom - No hot water after a few day until the end of the stay - Cleaning only 1 time for a 10 nights stay, no cleaning equipment available to do it ourselves Overall the owner was really unpleasant. I would strongly suggest hiring a really good caretaker/concierge to make the stay there as nice as it could/should be.
