The lovingly renovated Frisian house “Kiek In” (Low German for “Take a look inside”) is located right next to its equally charming sister house, “Kieke Wiet,” in the idyllic village of Warfendorf Manslagt, just about 4 km from Greetsiel and roughly 1.5 km from the North Sea dike. Surrounded by old farmhouses, narrow alleys, and the historic church with its freestanding bell tower, authentic East Frisian country life awaits you here—quiet, unspoiled, and full of charm.
This historic Frisian house has been modernized with great attention to detail and combines traditional character with contemporary living comfort. On the first floor, there is an open-concept living and dining area with seating, a TV, and a wood-burning stove, which creates a cozy atmosphere—especially on cool days. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, Nespresso machine, stovetop, oven, and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment—ideal for cooking together. Also on the first floor are the modern bathroom with a walk-in shower and hair dryer, the separate restroom, and a storage room.
A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor, where there are two bedrooms, each with its own TV. The master bedroom features a double bed (1.60 x 2.00 m), a wardrobe, and a screen door; in the children’s room (two single beds), Velux windows with blackout blinds ensure a restful night’s sleep. All rooms are equipped with easy-to-maintain designer vinyl flooring, and the walls are finished with a friendly, light-colored plaster in a traditional stucco look.
In front of the house, a small, fenced-in outdoor seating area invites you to relax and linger. About 20 meters away is a private lawn with four sun loungers, perfect for sunbathing or reading outdoors. Here you’ll also find the two parking spaces belonging to the house, as well as the lockable garden shed for storing bicycles.
Wi-Fi is, of course, available free of charge (we cannot guarantee unrestricted availability or sufficient speed).
The “Kiek In” can accommodate up to four people and also warmly welcomes up to two dogs—it’s just a few steps to the nearest field.
The neighboring house, Kieke Wiet, is also available for rent through us.
