Summary:
Mountain top retreat in New Market VA (close to Luray)! Enjoy breath taking views from the newly renovated kitchen/livingroom or the expansive deck with hot tub, Adirondack chairs, fire pit, and eating area. Cozy up by the gas fireplace and 55 inch smart TV. Kingsize bed in the main bedroom, full over queen bunk in the second. Perfect for a romantic or family getaway. High speed internet! Less than 30 min to Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, and great hiking. 4WD or AWD NECESSARY.
The Space:
Whether your looking to get out into the great outdoors or simply relax in the beautiful mountains, we’ve got you covered.
The living space, 2 bedrooms, full bathroom, kitchen, dining area and deck are all located on main level. The space is open with natural light from sliding doors and windows overlooking the mountains. The cabin has been decorated with modern, cozy design details, new furniture and new flooring throughout the home.
Curl up in front of the gas fireplace, with a book eor cup of coffee. Or watch your shows on the new 55” smart tv. High speed Wifi is provided so you can stream your favorite shows and power your personal devices, work from the house….or just relax! You will need to login to your Netflix or streaming accounts.
Cook your favorite meal in the remodeled kitchen with brand new appliances: refrigerator, electric stove, and microwave. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pan, cooking utensils, dishes, glasses, wine glasses and eating utensils, toaster. We have a traditional drip coffee maker with grounds/filters provided. We also have a Keurig, so bring your favorite K-cups!
The bathroom is completely remodeled and includes walk-in shower with rainfall shower-head and handheld options. Quality bath towels are provided.
Outside space includes a large deck with table and chairs and a propane fire pit table. As well as a gas grill equipped with propane.
A few things to know about our place:
We are pet friendly, but only for approved pets that are listed on the reservation. We allow house trained pets, with up to date flea/tick medication. Our pet fee covers up to two pets. If you have more, please reach out to us so we can have a conversation. We love pets, but want to make sure we are able to accommodate pets in a way that maintains the quality of our home!
In order to create the gorgeous view, we had to clear a significant number of trees. The trees are down on the property, and we haven't gotten a chance to remove them yet. They will not be in your way, but we didn't want that to catch you by surprise :).
The cabin is in a private mountain community. We are in the mountains, so as you get closer to our cabin, the gravel roads are steep. Therefore 4 wheel drive or AWD is required in order to get to the property.

This is the second time we’ve stayed with this host and had equally charming and wonderful experience. The host is extremely kind and responsive. The property photos perfectly depict the idyllic sunset and cozy cabin vibes. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfortable and the fire place was perfect for a cozy rainy evening in. The listing also accurately described the hilly gravel roads up into the property, our CRV managed just fine. The bugs were out and about while we were on the deck (you’re in the woods, to be expected!) - Picardin based deterrents and a mini fan I happened to bring from home helped keep them at bay. Lastly, the location is extremely convenient - close to the interstate and a quick drive to Harrisonburg and a short drive to Luray and other nearby noteworthy hikes in New Market. We would love to go back. Thank you for a lovely weekend away!
