This unique 1800s stone cottage blends historic character with a warm, lived-in feel, creating a stay that feels both nostalgic and inviting. Original stone walls, exposed textures and soft furnishings bring a sense of charm, while thoughtful updates ensure everyday comfort.

The living area invites you to unwind with comfortable seating arranged around a central TV, while an ornate fireplace and chandelier add to the cottage’s historic appeal. It’s a space to settle in with a coffee or relax with a good book after a day exploring the region. The kitchen balances modern convenience with country character, equipped for easy meals at home—plus split-system heating and cooling. A four-seater dining table sits beneath statement lighting, creating a cosy spot for shared meals or a glass of wine sourced from nearby McLaren Vale.

Both bedrooms continue the home’s relaxed, rustic feel. The primary bedroom features a king bed, while the second bedroom offers a queen, each styled with soft linens and ceiling fans for comfort. The bathroom includes a shower and bathtub, ideal for unwinding after a day out, along with a washing machine for added convenience. It’s accessed just a few steps from the kitchen via a small covered breezeway and remains entirely private for your use. The space is fully lockable and fitted with privacy blinds for your comfort.

Outdoors, the cottage is set within a bustling precinct, with cafés, gelato and dining just steps away. There’s a steady sense of activity, especially on weekends when live music and local gatherings bring the area to life.

Street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and shared with the neighbouring café. Please plan accordingly.

This home is best suited to guests who enjoy a lively, social atmosphere. Due to its location within a working hospitality hub, there is regular foot traffic, early morning activity, and surrounding noise. It may not be suitable for light sleepers or those seeking a quiet, private retreat.

Windows face shared walkways and neighbouring venues, so blinds are provided for privacy, which may limit natural light. Please keep the kitchen and bathroom blinds lowered during your stay to maintain privacy, allowing roastery staff to access their storeroom via an alternate entrance. When checking out, we kindly ask that you raise the blinds again.

As this is an older, stone building, WiFi and mobile reception may be intermittent at times.

A portacot and high chair are available to hire for a fee. Should you require them, please let us know upon booking.

The laneway beside the cottage is fitted with security cameras for added peace of mind. These monitor external areas only and do not impact guest privacy within the home.

Please treat the our home as if it were your own. Kindly leave the property in a tidy condition upon departure. Unexpected additional cleaning cost will be forwarded to you.

$200AUD cleaning/deodorising fee charged if guest is found to have been smoking in the property.

CHECK OUT: Check out strictly at 10AM. Additional charges will be incurred for our cleaners time if not vacant upon their arrival. We charge $30AUD for the first 30 minutes, and $60AUD for every 30-minutes after this.

LOST KEYS/LOCKOUTS: Please keep the property key with you all the time during your stay. Lost key/emergency key delivery charges will be $180AUD plus key replacement fee or cost of a locksmith.

LOST PROPERTY: For any items left behind - the host will hold the item for a maximum of 30 days from check-out date after which time they will be considered abandoned and disposed of or donated. During the 30 day collection period, collection can be arranged by way of the guest providing a prepaid postage bag to a supplied address or the item can be collected in person at an agreed time and location.

The place was clean and nice. The bathroom was out of the way. We wish would have known we would have had a shared breezeway to walk through to get to the bathroom.
